Pedestrian Struck and Killed in West Palm Beach

An 80-year-old female was walking across the parking lot of a busy shopping center on Southern Boulevard last Saturday when she was struck and killed by an SUV. Originally from Argentina, the woman lived in West Palm Beach with her companion of ten years.

She routinely went to the Publix Super Market shopping plaza in the 800 block of Southern Boulevard every Saturday for groceries and then would walk across the parking lot and cross Southern Boulevard to get her newspaper. This time was different from the normal routine. She was hit as she was leaving the store by a 46-year-old woman driving a Lincoln MKX SUV, suffered internal injuries and died at the scene.

It is unknown whether any charges will be filed as the accident is still under investigation.
