Four vehicle auto accident in Palm Beach County
An auto accident involving four vehicles occurred early Monday morning injuring at least one person in Palm Beach County, Florida. The accident took place on Interstate 95 in Palm Beach County. The multi-vehicle car accident occurred when a southbound BMW ran into the rear of a Dodge. The driver of the BMW who police suspect may have been intoxicated or under the influence of drugs, drove another mile before his BMW left the freeway and landed in a ditch. Palm Beach County accident investigators say the driver of the Dodge struck a guardrail and exited his vehicle on his own. An 18 wheeler truck, traveling southbound, was carrying approximately 40,000 pounds of cat food when it struck the Dodge. The truck flipped onto its side and cans of cat food spilled onto the highway's median. The fourth and final vehicle, a Honda, was traveling with four passengers and heading southbound when it hit the Dodge. Paramedics transported the driver of the BMW, to St. Mary's Medical Center in Palm Beach County for treatment of serious injuries.
