Red Light Cameras begin rolling today in Coral Springs
As of Monday, red-light cameras will be snapping photos of red light runners at five city intersections.
Violators will get warnings during the first 30 days. Ticketing will start September 14 when drivers who run red lights at any of the five intersections will have to pay $158. After 30 days, the fine will rise to $263.
The intersections are: southbound
University Drive
and
Riverside Drive
, northbound and southbound
University Drive
and
Shadow Wood Blvd.
, northbound and southbound
University Drive
and
Ramblewood Drive
, northbound
University Drive
and
Royal Palm Blvd.
, and eastbound

Drivers will have violated the law once they enter the intersection after the light turns red. The

camera will take both still photos and videos of drivers.
