Six teens were injured when several metal pieces fell from a ride at the South Carolina State Fair Wednesday night, police said.
According to state fair officials, some welded metal pieces broke loose and fell from the Banzi ride, striking the teenagers, who suffered cuts and bruises.
The injured teens were treated by medical personnel at the fair's first aid station and were not taken to a hospital.
The ride was shut down following the incident and will remain closed pending a safety inspection.
