Man Files Lawsuit Over False Allegations of Animal Mutilation

In 2009, 18-year-old T.W. was accused of being responsible for the mutilation of cats found throughout Miami-Dade County. An anonymous tip was called in claiming that he was the person behind these shocking cases of animal cruelty. Over one year later, forensic evidence was brought forward that showed the teenager was not the culprit and that the cats had been killed by a dog.

Even though he was cleared of all charges, T.W. has filed a lawsuit against the county for the false accusations that were brought against him. Not only that, but the lawsuit will target the ASPCA and the University of Florida, organizations that had all been involved in the case.

T.W. has asked for compensation of $15,000 due to the fact that his reputation had been ruined. A Fort Lauderdale injury lawyer from our firm could help defend you if you suffered from a false accusation or any other type of personal injury. Please do not hesitate to contact a Fort Lauderdale personal injury attorney today!
