Teenage Drunk Driving

A 16 year old high school sophomore was killed recently when the truck he was riding in flipped over twice before smashing into a tree. The eighteen year old driver was intoxicated at the time of the accident. After the accident the sophomore was airlifted to a hospital where he remained in critical condition for weeks. Drinking and driving is a huge problem in our society today most especially among high school students. The students are too young to understand all the effects that alcohol has on their body. They feel invincible after consuming it.

The death rates of high school students who drink and drive are on the rise. Parent talking regularly to their teens about the dangers of combining alcohol consumption and operation of a motor vehicle is one way that these accidents may be prevented. Teens will attempt to tune out the conversation but you have to make them listen to it. It will save lives.
