Man Sues Alleged DUI Victim After Pleading Guilty

In 2007, D.B. pleaded guilty to DUI manslaughter following a crash that resulted in the death of three people. However, in a recent turn of events, he has now turned the tables and blamed the driver of the other car. Although that driver, R.M., died as a result of the crash, D.B. is claiming that he caused the accident by suddenly changing lanes.

D.B. was sentenced to 12 years in prison and is suing the estate of R.M. for pain and suffering, medical bills, and loss of the ability to enjoy life. His attorney has stated that he only pled guilty because he feared he did not have any hope of defending himself.
